Subscriber Status
Subscriber status is available to those intending to start U.S. direct selling operations within six-to-twelve months of their application for membership. It is the first step toward full membership in the Direct Selling Association.
Subscriber status was established in order to help new companies get off to a sound start by making a variety of informational resources available to them. These informational resources include access to DSA's executives, including legal and research professionals and participation in DSA's programs and services at member discounts.
Subscriber dues are $1,600 (in U.S. dollars) for the first 12 months. Should U.S. operations fail to begin during that year, a second year of subscriber status is available to the applicant. Dues for the second year of subscriber status are $3,200 (in U.S. dollars).
There is a two-year cap on the amount of time an applicant may remain a subscriber. If U.S. operations are not initiated within that time, the applicant must withdraw and may not re-apply for DSA membership until U.S. operations are underway.
