DSA and PRO Insurance Managers Announce Enhanced Health and Direct Seller Liability ProgramsLack of access to affordable health insurance prevents many direct sellers from “going full-time,” but recent enhancements to DSA’s exclusively endorsed Health and Direct Seller Liability program aim to increase coverage, lower premiums, and remove health care as a roadblock for those who want to dedicate more time to their businesses. “The economy has made affordable, reliable health care options a major concern for many,” says Rich Fuchs, President & CEO of PRO Insurance Managers, the firm that administers DSA’s insurance program. “It’s no longer just about people who wish they could give up their 9-5 job and focus exclusively on direct selling. Now we’re seeing people who have turned to direct selling because they have lost their traditional job or their spouse has lost a job. They need affordable options immediately.” Under the plans offered by PRO an individual can find coverage for $50-$60 per month – as compared to more than $100 previously*. Additionally, plans typically come with a 12-month rate lock but are now being offered in most states with 24- and 36-month rate locks. This provides rate-increase protection for extended periods regardless of health or other factors.
