National Party Plan Survey
DSA's National Party Plan Survey reports on consultant, hostess and leadership programs, as well as on selected operating practices specific to party plan companies.
Purpose
In February 2007, DSA commissioned HarrisInteractive to conduct a study of DSA member companies to gather information regarding the party plan sales approach and its role in direct selling. Previously, DSA had conducted a small-scale public information exchange with a handful of party plan companies and, for this research, DSA wanted to expand the study to include more member companies and greater depth of information.
Schedule
The National Party Plan Sales Strategy Survey is conducted every three years. The next survey is scheduled to be conducted during 2010.
Who Can Participate
All DSA direct selling members are eligible to participate.
Return on Your Investment
Each company that submits a substantially complete survey questionnaire by the deadline is provided a free copy of the 109-page report derived from the survey. The report contains:
- Assessment of the prevalence of the party plan sales strategy in direct selling companies’ businesses
- Questions regarding programs for new consultants, leadership, and hostesses
- Descriptive information on participating companies
- Benchmarking in order to allow member firms to monitor trends in group selling/party approaches, and
- Determination, where possible, of best practices in group selling/party approaches
How to Participate
Respond when invited to do so by DSA.
Report Availability to Nonparticipants
If your company participated, you may order additional copies of the current report.
If your company did not participate, you may order past editions of DSA’s National Party Plan survey (or its predecessor, the Party Plan Information Exchange).
