May 8, 2020

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – On April 29, the Direct Selling Association (DSA) and Isagenix International hosted United States Senator Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) for the first installment in DSA’s virtual town hall series. Sen. Sinema provided an update on federal, state and local initiatives related to the global pandemic, as well as discussed specific initiatives she has championed in the United States Senate.

Senator Sinema said, “The current situation provides an opportunity for businesses such as direct selling who rely on close, personal interactions to be creative. I’m here to help your business channel succeed through these difficult circumstances.”

“It was a pleasure co-hosting the virtual town hall with the DSA, and we appreciate this unique opportunity for our employees and others to hear from our government leaders,” said Justin Powell Isagenix chief legal officer and general counsel. “As always, it was great to hear from Sen. Sinema. We are thankful for the time she took out of her extremely busy schedule to provide an update and share insightful advice with Arizona citizens.”

DSA President Joseph N. Mariano said, “It was a honor to have Senator Sinema address our Arizona-based members. Her personal connection with direct selling has made her a champion of our business her entire time in Congress. We look forward to continuing our work with her on behalf of direct selling.”

Building and maintaining relationships with members of Congress remains an essential mission for DSA and its members, especially during this challenging time. We will continue connecting direct sellers with their elected representatives in this new environment.
