(WASHINGTON D.C.) – The Direct Selling Association Women’s Entrepreneurship Roundtable Series hosted a meeting with Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks in Davenport, Iowa . Kicking off our sixth year, this series has brought together independent distributors in congressional districts and states across the country to meet with more than a dozen Members of Congress to share their entrepreneurial journeys.

Five direct sellers met to discuss the value of being an independent entrepreneur, the benefits a direct selling business has provided their families, and how their businesses have adapted over the past four years. Their stories highlighted the flexibility and portability of the business model, and the generational connections that building a business brings. Four direct selling companies were represented at the roundtable.

Rep. Miller-Meeks said, “It was a pleasure to sit down with these women entrepreneurs from Iowa’s First Congressional District. Direct selling empowers women to work, have an income an spend time with their family. I am proud to support these women and thousands more like them in my district.”

DSA looks forward to connecting more direct sellers with Members of Congress during 2024 and beyond.
