On April 12 Mannatech, Incorporated (NASDAQ: MTEX), a global health and wellness company committed to transforming lives to make a better world was honored to announce their  Mexican subsidiary, Mtex Mexico S. De R.L. de C.V., was approved as an active member of the Mexican Direct Selling Association A.C. (AMVD).

Like all Direct Selling Associations around the world the AMVD brings together the main Mexican and foreign Direct Selling companies that operate in the country, ensuring healthy competition, respect and transparency in commercial operations. There is no more important time for direct selling companies to join their local and international associations to have a seat at the table and a voice in the important conversations on the issues impacting the channel today.

"We firmly believe that direct selling is one of the most effective tools for empowering individuals and their communities, and we're looking forward to continuing this important work together with the support of the AMVD," said Chris Simons, Mannatech Regional President EMEAA, Central & South America.

Mannatech President and CEO Al Bala, who serves as a Board member of the U.S. Direct Selling Association said of the announcement, "We are honored to be a part of such a distinguished organization as the AMVD. We look forward to working closely with them, as well as our loyal legion of Mexican customers and Associates, to ensure that direct selling continues to prosper in Mexico for many years to come."

The DSA’s roots run very deep in Mannatech, beginning with Chairman of the Board, Stan Fredrick, who has a long and distinguished record of service as a Hall of Fame member of the Association. He has either chaired or been a board member of both the Direct Selling Association and Direct Selling Education Foundation for over 30 years.

"We regard our DSA membership as a badge of honor," Fredrick explained. "This announcement of gaining entrance into the AMVD speaks volumes about the type of dedicated customers and Associates we have in Mexico. We salute them for their commitment to conducting business ethically."
